With over 25 years’ experience working with children and families in a variety of settings, Sally has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experiences. She is a dynamic speaker and makes learning fun. Her work is steeped in Attachment Theory and Trauma Informed Care principles. During her 15 years at Boys and Girls Aid in Oregon, she spearheaded child-centered change through essential program development and execution. Many of these programs are now practiced statewide. She has presented on a variety of topics at multiple local, state, and national conferences including Wendy’s Wonderful Kids National Summit hosted by the Dave Thomas Foundation, Idaho PARC Conference, Child Welfare League of America, Shoulder to Shoulder, Head Start National Hispanic Institute, and many more.
Sally’s professional goals are to ensure parents have the skills they need to parent securely attached children. She believes that every child deserves at least one parent who wakes up every morning thrilled and honored to parent that child. She also believes that those serving children and families need support and ongoing training. Sally’s unique training provides tools and action items parents can take away and begin to use within their own families and/or to better understand which professionals to include within their treatment team.
