Amber Kidd, BSW, joined A New Beginning in 2013 after completing her internship with the agency. Over the years, she has worked across infant adoption, foster care, and international programs, giving her a well-rounded understanding of adoption in Idaho. Today, she focuses on the foster-adopt program, where she supports families through the adoption process from foster care.

Amber works closely with families before, during, and after placement, helping them navigate the realities of welcoming an older child into their home. She is known for her calm, steady approach and her ability to guide families through complex transitions with honesty and compassion. Her work reflects A New Beginning’s commitment to providing in-person support for families across Idaho, not just during placement, but long after.

In addition to her work in adoption, Amber oversees the Homebuilders program in partnership with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. This evidence-based, in-home program supports families in crisis, helping prevent children from entering foster care and working toward safe reunification whenever possible. This level of support is part of what sets A New Beginning apart, offering services that strengthen families at every stage.

She is passionate about helping families better understand adoption from foster care and works to break down the stigma that often surrounds it. Amber is also a strong advocate for the children she serves, making sure their needs and voices are always at the center of every decision.
