Hello, my name is Richard. I went through foster care with my brothers as a kid and we were adopted when I was ten. I recently lost my little brother and my goal is to reach the other youth at a personal level and make sure they know THEY ARE NOT ALONE. So with patience and with hope I know we will make great progress.
Being a Peer Support Mentor will allow me to utilize my own personal experiences and transfer what I’ve learned to other kids who are going through the foster-care to adoptive home transition. I believe that what is real will prosper and I will do all I can to teach these kids how important they are in this world.
I’m preparing to go to the College of Western Idaho in the fall and a graduate of Middleton High School. I’m looking forward to the future ahead.
