Hello! We are Orlando, Andrea and Zacai.
Thank you for the loving and courageous decision you are making for your child. We respect you for what you are doing as we know it requires a lot of love and strength. We are praying for you as you make this important decision for you and your child.
Andrea is from Boise, Idaho and Orlando is from Nicaragua. We met in 2009 when Andrea went to Nicaragua as a missionary and we have been married for 10 years. After living in Nicaragua for 5 years (3 years married) we decided to move to Boise to settle close to Andrea’s family. We have been in Boise since 2014 and Andrea works from home for a medical technology company with a flexible schedule, while Orlando enjoys being a production lead at a local food production company.
We always knew we would adopt and we adopted our son Zacai in 2019 as an infant through A New Beginning. It has been an amazing experience and we look forward to growing our family through adoption again.
We love to keep life simple and make the most of every opportunity. Andrea enjoys sewing, gardening, and reading. Orlando loves soccer (go Real Madrid!), playing guitar, and comedy movies. Zacai is learning both English and Spanish; he loves airplanes and helicopters, sensory play, and music. As a family we love to laugh. We enjoy trying new places to eat, playing games, watching movies, kayaking, and going for family bike rides/walks. We have a 2 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix who is very loving, loyal and playful.
Family is so important to us. We are fortunate to live close to Andrea’s family, and stay very connected with Orlando’s family in Nicaragua despite the distance. We are hoping for an open or semi-open adoption, but respect your desire for level of openness and want what is best for you and your child. With Zacai’s birth mom we currently have a semi-open adoption, with the hopes of the possibility for an open adoption in the future.
