Nehemiah is pursuing a degree in Social Work and attends College of Western Idaho.  He has been involved with A New Beginning Adoption Agency for several years.  First as a foster-child being adopted through A New Beginning and is now a frequent panel member on the Foster-Adopt Discussion panel and leader on the Youth Advisory Board.  Nehemiah is the oldest of a sibling group of seven who were adopted together 5 years ago.  He has a passion for helping other children as they transition from Foster-Care into their forever families. He became a Peer Support Specialist through Oregon and Idaho’s program.  His Peer Support Specialist certification allows him to be a more active participant in the lives of the kids as they transition into their permanent adoptive homes.  Nehemiah is also a public speaker, advocating for older children in the foster-care system to be adopted and a deeper understanding of what they are experiencing.

When Nehemiah isn’t working, he enjoys being creative through clay sculptures, spray paint art and learning how to tattoo.  He also enjoys the great outdoors, fishing, skateboarding, snowboarding and adventure.
