Hello! We are Kevin and Lauren, and we’ve been married for 8 ½ years. We were both born and raised in North Pole, Alaska, and yes, it is a real town complete with a Santa Clause house and candy cane light poles. Seriously, look it up! In 2012, we finally decided to say goodbye to the cold and moved to Boise, Idaho, where we have lived ever since. We absolutely love Idaho and don’t plan on leaving any time soon. We love trail running and mountain biking in the foothills, going on coffee dates, reading, and exploring Idaho’s wilderness with our crazy Mini Aussie, Ducati.
We both graduated from Northwest Nazarene University and have been teaching in the Treasure Valley for about 3 years now. Lauren teaches English and public speaking (freshmen), and Kevin teaches government (seniors). While we love being teachers for many reasons, we definitely enjoy having summers and holidays off to travel, camp, and visit family!
We do not have any biological children, but adoption has never simply been a second option for us. In 2012, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit Uganda, Africa, and by the end of that trip, adoption was sealed in our hearts. While we did not know what that would look like at the time, we are so excited to finally be fulfilling the calling we know God has placed on our lives.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know a little bit about us!
