Understanding the impact of sexual abuse on families

The vast majority of children who come from hard places have experienced some form of sexual abuse. Knowing the impact of sexual abuse on the social, emotional, and physical development of survivors can help parents feel more confident in meeting the needs of their children. In this training, we will view the movie Rewind, and discuss the impact of multigenerational sexual abuse on one family system. We will also discuss what you can do in your family to support a sexual abuse survivor. This will be a frank conversation and might be triggering for sexual abuse survivors.  To register, please email admin@adoptanewbeginning.org
