Personal Profile
I am the last of seven children, 4 girls and 3 boys, and I was born and raised in Southern Idaho. My first love is being a MOM, followed by spending time with my family, scrap booking, gardening, reading and waterskiing!!
I understand the strong desire of wanting to have a child...It is an honor for me to be able to assist in adoptions and watch a miracle of GOD unfold in front of me!
Although my husband and I now have 5 year old twins, our journey almost took us to adoption. After months and months of various fertility treatments, I got pregnant, only to miscarry. We spent the next 14 months on and off fertility treatments, trying to conceive and we were finally blessed with TWINS!!
I understand the strong desire of wanting to have a child and the different journeys that lead people to their child. It is an honor for me to be able to assist in adoptions and watch a miracle of GOD unfold in front of me!
Professional Background
I graduated from Boise State University in 1995 and began working with Juvenile Probation as a Probation Officer in Burley, Idaho. I truly enjoyed my work as a probation officer, but I felt I wanted to work with children in a more positive and pro-active way. I went back to school (Idaho State University) and studied social work and I became a licensed social worker in 2003!
I am presently the Clinician with Juvenile Probation and I “plant seeds!” I like to think of myself as a farmer, because I continuously teach skills or plant seeds, to many young people. It is amazing to watch them grow into competent, capable, young adults! I am very excited to be a part of A New Beginning and be a part of the adoption process and the miracle of adoption!
