Personal Profile

Adoption has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Both my sibling and I were adopted and it was always known. All aspects of adoption have touched my family. Birth families have been met and children have been adopted and come back to meet us as the birth family. Starting at a very young age, I have had a heart for those hurting or needing help and knew I would end up doing social work. Being that adoption was a big part of my family, I had always hoped that it would continue to be a part of mine as I grew up.

Professional Background

I believe I bring to this agency experience in numerous aspects of social work. I have worked with a variety of types of clients, both children and adults in many different situations. I have helped families come to positive resolutions in their situations and negative ones. In all of that, I believe I have an empathy and honesty that families respected, even when they didn’t like the decisions being made. Families knew they would get the truth from me in a way they could understand what was being decided and why. I have always wanted the privilege of helping a child have a family that will love and nurture them, as I was. I am happy to be able to work in the adoption field as an Adoption Specialist.
