I was blessed enough to grow up with over 50 foster brothers who opened my eyes to a whole new world of need
Personal Profile
I was born and raised in the Treasure Valley by two extraordinary parents. My parents ran a wonderful group home for teenage boys who had unthinkable and tragic backgrounds. They were the kiddos that the state had given up on and no longer knew what to do with. My mom said she was not giving up on those kids and developed unprecedented programs that are still in use today.
I was blessed enough to grow up with over 50 foster brothers who opened my eyes to a whole new world of need. My childhood was anything but normal and I wouldn’t have it any other way! The idea of compassion and helping people of all walks of life was instilled in me from the very beginning. So naturally, I ended up working with A New Beginning and approving good homes for kids who deserve better than the cards they have been dealt.
I cannot wait to start my family someday and adopt kids! I have traveled to Mexico, Kenya and Haiti and worked with orphans who now have a special place in my heart that I will not soon forget. I am a passionate social worker and love working with families and children. I enjoy time with loved ones and my pups. My favorite place to be is anywhere next to the ocean waves.
Professional Background
I graduated with honors from Northwest Nazarene University in May of 2009, with my degree in Social Work and minor in Political Science. I was A New Beginning’s intern my senior year of college and know the agency and all that it stands for. I am also a PSR worker in the McCall area. I work with kids and adults that have mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities. I love what I do and all of the people that I have the opportunity to work with.
