Margie has a baby!  Congratulations!

Hi! My name is Margie. I would like to begin by telling you I admire your courage in making this difficult decision.

I want to become a mother so that I can give a child a safe, loving family and provide fun experiences and educational opportunities. After the child’s birth, if you are comfortable, I will send you pictures and letter updates. I would also love to have visits in person. However, if you are not comfortable with visits, I would incorporate their birth history in another way.

I grew up surrounded by a loving family in a small Indiana town. My parents have been married for over 50 years, and I have three older brothers, and many nieces and nephews. My family is precious to me, and I am grateful to be a part of such a nice family.

While I do not live close to my family, I have a vibrant circle of friends and a church family. And my family and I visit each other about three times a year. Among my friends and family, I am known for my smile and my laugh, and for being a good friend and listener.

I am a librarian and professor with a background in elementary education. I truly believe in lifelong learning, and I plan to share this with my child. This will involve reading to them; teaching them how to treat people; giving them a life with Christ, sharing quiet time at home, helping them through challenging times; showing them how to enjoy nature; and traveling.

I want you to know that, while I have never been married, I have always wanted to be a mother. I look forward to beginning my family, and I hope to get married in the future. I have a boyfriend, Mark, who is a special person in my life.

I respect you already for choosing adoption, and for allowing me to start a family. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me. My thoughts are with you through this process, and I look forward to meeting you.
