International Adoption Program

A New Beginning provides home study services, support groups, post placement, and post adoption services. We partner with several agencies nationwide and have home study and post placement agreements in place with various international agencies.
General Requirements:
Program eligibility is determined by your International agency.
Services Provided:
- Home Studies - Please Note: USCIS and A New Beginning do not accept Certified Adoption Professional (CAP) home studies.
- Training
- Agency Counselors to address attachment and transition issues.
- Post placement support.
- Open discussions about various countries and programs
- Support Groups
Training:
We believe that adoption is a lifelong journey. Our desire is to equip and prepare our adoptive families for this journey. Because of this we require our families to complete extensive training. These classes include:
- Pre-Adoptive Family Training: This is a 5 hour class that addresses transcultural adoption, grief and loss, attachment, orphanage issues, and drugs and alcohol.
- With Eyes Wide Open: May be taken at www.adoptionlearningpartners.org
- Family Age Training: This is a 3 hour class that address child development and the bonding and attachment process.
