Training Requirements:
We believe that adoption is a lifelong journey. Our desire is to equip and prepare our adoptive families for this journey. Because of this we require 5 hours of training but provide additional education opportunities as well.
Infant Adoption Awareness Class: This class is taught by two licensed social workers and a birth mother. Class participants will learn about openness in adoption, adoption expenses, agency adoptions vs. private adoptions, and trans-cultural adoption. The class includes a panel of birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive parents.
