Idaho Laugh Fest is a full-scale comedy festival featuring improv, stand-up, and variety comedy. Over 60 comics will be in town from all over the country to perform in 17 shows. Laugh Fest also hosts 6 workshops that are open to the public ages 13 and up. The Laugh Fest spans over four days in multiple venues in downtown Boise. It’s in its fourth year and thousands have enjoyed the comedic entertainment each year. Founder, Megan Bryant partners with a non-profit to benefit from the festival each year. This year, Megan Bryant selected A New Beginning Adoption Agency as the beneficiary of 2017 Idaho Laugh Fest.
Megan Bryant is one person, but she’s many things including a mother, wife, birth mother, comedian, author, speaker, emcee and so much more. In 2016 she published her book Not My Plan, which is a personal account of her very own adoption experience. Amazing in so many ways, but imagine hiding your entire pregnancy from you family while you still lived with them! She has stepped out in the public to share her very private journey, advocates for women, adoption and is actively participating in projects to help debunk myths about birth families and adoption.
Idaho Laugh Fest selected A New Beginning as the nonprofit community partner for 2017 and has dedicated its January 14th family friendly Saturday Matinee at the Egyptian at 2 p.m. to adoption and awareness. The show features comedians Megan Bryant, Sheli G., Adam Kessler, Neeraj Srinivasan, Eric Escobar, Austin Von Johnson, and Odd Saturday Improv Troupe. SHOW is FREE for the whole family. 100% of any donations collected will go directly to A New Beginning. Tickets are FREE, but click here to reserve your seats.
